For Women Facing Change in Their Lives. Learn communication skills - working with horses as teachers. Affirm your inner strengths. Clarify your hopes and dreams. Build new coping skills. Renew your sense of purpose. This is a non-riding event - no background with horses necessary. This experiential workshop is designed specifically to support your process of change.
Tuition: $175 includes lunch and a workbook.
Location: Skull Valley ranch.
Instructors: Dr. Sharon Grady of Centaur Leadership Services & Bonnie Ebsen Jackson of T.H.E. Ranch.
Sharon Grady, PhD is the Clinical Coordinator for the Prescott College Centaur Leadership program.
Sharon has over 25 years experience as an active learning specialist. With a master's degree and PhD in applied theatre from the University of Wisconsin, Sharon went on to become an associate professor and the director of several community-based programs at the University of Texas in Austin including Arts in Communities, Drama for Schools, and Imagine Safer Schools. Her work with gang-affiliated youth in south Texas convinced her to pursue a second Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology with an emphasis in equine-assisted mental health. After extensive experience facilitating equine- assisted counseling services with children and families in rural New Mexico, Sharon is pursuing licensure as a professional counselor in Arizona. In addition to serving as the clinical coordinator of Centaur Mental Health Services, she is also a guest faculty member at Prescott College.
